The B is a fast link between the splendours of Cambridge and Peterborough. Much of the route uses a guided busway, separate from other traffic, on the route of a closed railway line, making it quicker than most buses. It's operated by Stagecoach.

Timetable
At the time of writing, the B runs every 15 mins between Cambridge and Huntingdon Mon-Sat daytimes, with one bus an hour extending to Peterborough. Buses are less frequent at other times and there are no evening or Sunday buses between Huntingdon and Peterborough, so check the timetable carefully before you travel.

Stagecoach routes in Huntingdon
Tickets
The cheapest day ticket that is valid throughout route B is the Stagecoach Cambridgeshire Dayrider Plus at £7 for an adult. It can be used on all Stagecoach buses in this zone.
If you're travelling from further afield to connect with the B, then the Stagecoach East Dayrider Gold might be for you. At £15 for an adult, it's valid throughout route B and on all Stagecoach buses across East Anglia and much of the Home Counties and the Midlands.
Singles and returns vary in price according to distance, but at the time of writing a single from Cambridge to Peterborough costs £5 for an adult. Day tickets are often cheaper than returns, so check Stagecoach's tickets page to look up fares and work out which is the best option for you.
For shorter distance days out on the B, local Dayrider tickets are available for the following zones:
- Cambridge Dayrider, £4.50, valid on the B between central Cambridge and Oakington
- Peterborough Dayrider, £4.50, valid on the B between Peterborough and Norman's Cross
If you're arriving in Cambridge, Huntingdon or Peterborough by train, then a Plusbus ticket bought with your rail ticket is valid on the B in the relevant zones:
- Cambridge: as far as Oakington
- Huntingdon: Old Houghton Road/Training Centre to Ermine Business Park
- Peterborough: as far as Yaxley, Folly Close
