The Transpeak, often known as the TP2 and TP3, provides the main bus link into and through the Peak District. Its runs every hour each daytime between Buxton and Derby. It's operated by High Peak and is possibly the only bus route that has a better logo than the company that runs it:

Fares
For single and return fares, see High Peak's website. At the time of writing an adult single from Buxton to Derby is £6.60 and a return is £10.60.
The cheapest day ticket valid throughout the route is the Peak Plus Extra day ticket at £12.50 for an adult. It's valid on all High Peak services, plus on selected routes operated by TM Travel and D&G as far afield as Sheffield, Macclesfield and Stoke-on-Trent.
The Peak Plus day ticket is valid on Transpeak between Buxton and Matlock Bath only and costs £7.50 for an adult. Also valid on all High Peak buses within this zone.
Derbyshire Wayfarer is valid throughout the full route and costs £13.40 for an adult. Also valid on most buses and trains within Derbyshire and selected routes to neighbouring counties.
TfGM Wayfarer - valid from Buxton to Whatstandwell on the Transpeak. £15.20 for an adult. Also valid on all buses, trams and trains in this zone including all of Greater Manchester and most of the Peak District stretching to Northwich, Warrington, Wigan, Chorley, Darwen, Burnley and Rochdale. Cannot be bought from the bus driver, only from staffed railway stations and Paypoint outlets.
Buxton & Matlock Plusbus tickets are valid for travel on the TP between Buxton and Cromford, Highpeak Junction. They can be bought with your rail ticket.
