19/919: Inverness - Fort William


This route runs through one of the most sparsely-populated parts of the UK, but the amazing landscapes you can see from the bus make it a journey not to be missed! Buses run roughly every two hours Mon-Sat daytimes, with occasional journeys in the evenings and on Sundays. The route is operated jointly by Stagecoach and Citylink.

Fares

Stagecoach 19 run with buses and Citylink 919 run with coaches are treated as the same route for tickets, so return and day tickets bought on one are valid on the other.


There is no Dayrider ticket valid for the entire route, but the Inverness City Dayrider Zone 2 at £6.10 will get you as far as Drumnadrochit and the Zone 3 version at £11 is valid from Inverness as far as Fort Augustus.

From the other end, a Fort Dayrider at £3.40 is only valid for local journeys within Fort William as far as Torlundy.

If arriving by train, then the Plusbus add-on ticket can be used in Fort William on the 19 as far as Spean Bridge.

Between Inverness and Drumnadrochit, you can also use Stagecoach 17 and Citylink 917.

Between Fort William and Spean Bridge, you can also use Stagecoach 41 and 42, which also serve Glen Nevis, Nevis Range and Roy Bridge.
