110: Birmingham - Tamworth

Arriva 110 links Britain's second city with what was once the capital of much of England. Operated by Arriva under their posh Sapphire brand, it runs every 15 minutes Mon-Sat daytimes, 30 mins Sunday daytimes and hourly in the evenings. The 110 starts from Stop BS12 outside B&M on The Priory Queensway in Central Birmingham. 
It then calls at Stop CS1 on Corporation Street.
Then Stop RD/CS2, also on Corporation Street, then Stop CR2 at Aston University.

See adult single fares here and adult return fares here. Birmingham to Tamworth currently costs £4.00 single and £6.30 return.

The cheapest day ticket that is valid on the whole of route 110 is the Arriva Midlands DaySaver at £6.40. Arriva also offers a local day ticket for Tamworth and Lichfield at £4.30, that also covers Fazeley and as far as Gainsborough Drive.


The Plusbus tickets for Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield (both valid as far as Fox Hill Road) and Tamworth (valid as far as Oak Drive) are accepted on the 110 in their respective zones only.


Within the County of West Midlands, Transport for West Midlands' range of all-operator tickets are valid on the 110 from Birmingham as far as Fox Hill Road in Roughley. An adult one day nBus currently costs £4.20. They also offer multimodal tickets, valid on trams and/or trains as well as the bus.


If you need to use the buses of other operators in Staffordshire, then the Staffordshire Knot day ticket at £7.00 is for you. It's valid on all buses of major operators in Staffordshire, including Arriva, First, D&G, National Express and Midland Classic. On the 110, it's valid from Tamworth to the county border at Bassett Pole.

The 110 passes near to the following railway stations on the Cross City Line

From Sutton Coldfield, you can reach Lichfield with National Express X3.

From Tamworth railway station, you can catch trains in four directions, including towards Burton-on-Trent, Derby and Nottingham.

Change buses in Tamworth for Arriva 765/X65 towards Lichfield or Arriva 65 to Nuneaton.


Alternatives

National Express routes X3, X4 and X5 take the same route as the 110 between Birmingham and Sutton Coldfield, with the 907 taking a different route via Perry Barr and the X14 via Walmley.
