Fares

Contact First for details of single and return fares. Within West Yorkshire, an adult single is capped at £2.00.

The cheapest day ticket that is valid throughout route 590 is the FirstDay West Yorkshire at £5.20. It's valid on all First routes in West Yorkshire including over to Rochdale.

Also valid throughout but not available to buy on the 590 is the FirstDay Greater Manchester at £5.50. It's valid on all First buses in Greater Manchester, but their network there has been reduced in recent years, so it's only really worth it if you're connecting in Rochdale with their routes from Oldham and Tameside and don't need to connect with any other routes at the Halifax end.

If you're only going to be travelling within Greater Manchester, then you can use System One's range of multi-operator and multi-modal tickets on the 590 between Rochdale and the county border, which is Summit, Dean Head. The any bus Daysaver is currently £6.40 and is valid on all buses in Greater Manchester, regardless of operator.

The TfGM Wayfarer at £15.20 for an adult, and which can't be bought on the bus, is valid on the 590 as far as Todmorden, plus on all buses, trains and trams throughout Greater Manchester, the Peak District and beyond.

If you're only going to be travelling within West Yorkshire and also need to use either other bus companies or trains, then Metro's range of multi-operator and multi-modal tickets is for you. The WY DaySaver Bus is £5.50, valid on all buses throughout West Yorkshire, regardless of operator. These tickets are valid for travel on the 590 between Halifax and the county border at Walsden, Calderbrook Road only.

Plusbus tickets issued with rail travel to/from major stations in Greater Manchester or West Yorkshire are valid on the 590 on the appropriate side of the county border.
